2 oz bourbon
1/2 oz crème de cassis (blackcurrant liqueur)
1/2 oz fresh lemon juice
1/4 oz simple syrup
2 dashes Angostura bitters
Garnish: Luxardo cherry and a thin lemon twist
Optional: Smoked glass for a mysterious finish
Chill the glass: Place a coupe or rocks glass in the freezer or fill it with ice water to chill while you mix.
Mix the magic: In a shaker with ice, combine bourbon, crème de cassis, lemon juice, simple syrup, and bitters.
